I get error
accessing Webmail what do I do?
I get error
accessing Webmail Resolution: If you are experiencing
this problem, change your folder refresh time: In Squirrel Mail, go to
Options, Folder Preferences, and under the Folder List Options heading, set
the Auto Refresh Folder List option to 5 minutes If you are using just "username" as your POP username, this could be the reason. If you have the same username@anotherdoamin.com that has the same password you may be checking your other account. To fix this you can either change the password for this account or use the full username of username@isitetech.net in your mail program. If you are using netscape mail you will need to use username#isitetech.net . Another possible explanation may be if you had hosted your domain through
yourself or through the ISP that you are currently connected to the internet
with. If so, they may still have your domains DNS file listed in their
servers so when you try to connect to the mail server you are checking your
old email account. To make sure this is not it, you can always try using "pop.isitetech.net"
as your incoming mail server. If you are getting spam, we offer spam protection on all email accounts as an optional add-on. There is a charge of $1.00 per month for this option, It can be added as an option when you first signup or can be added at any time. This option will change the subject line of messages we tag as spam to
include **** SPAM ****. You can setup a message rule in your outlook express
by going into Tools, Message Rules, mail. to put the messages into a
separate mailbox on your computer, or delete them. If you choose, you can
also have our server bounce them back to the recipient with a message that
the email has been tagged as spam and to please send you a short email if
you want to be added to the white list. You can edit your website and spam
settings at https://sam.safepages.com/
If you are having trouble getting international emails is more than likely becuase we are blocking the asia pacific IP ranges. This is done to minimize the spam that our customers receive. From our data we block over 1 Million spam messages a day of which 99.9% of of it is spam by blocking these ranges. If you have a friend / family member, etc that you want to receive email from and who is having difficulty emailing you (timeout error), send us their email address, or if you can their ISP's mail server that they are trying to send through to you and we will place them in our allowable list. Back to Top I can't send an attachment (content rejected)? In an attempt to block the spread of viruses to and from our customers, we currently block all attachments ending in hta, com, pif, vbs, vbe, js, jse, exe, bat, cmd, vxd, scr, shm, & lnk. These files are windows system files and executable attachments that are often uses to transmit viruses. If you must send a file ending in one of these extensions it is recommended that you zip the file up using a program like winzip or pkzip before sending the message. Another exception is if you must send an exe file our system supports the file name software.exe for transmitting executables. If you do try to send a message ending in one of these extensions, you will get a "content rejected" message. Back to Top |
